I am trying the Mastodon feed widget and I like it a lot. I am currently on the free plan. I know that the ‘auto refresh’ function is not available in the free plan.
But I do not seem to find a manual update function. The widget has a ‘refresh’ function but it does not refresh, reload the Mastodon posts.
I deleted a specific toot but it stays in the feed. Removing the widget and recreating it does not make a difference.
Edit:
I just before responding here I send a new toot to make the difference more clear between the posts in the profile and in the widget. The new post, ‘Pere Noel’, has shown up in the widget. But the deleted post, ‘Freddie’, is still displayed.
The most important thing is that new posts appear. That deleted posts do not disappear is not ideal but workable.
New post do update in the widget. And if it is normal that deleted posts are not removed from the widget then that is that.
I do not know where that editorial control is that can be used to remove it manually. I looked at all the options in the widget control panel. I do not see anything relevant.
Also noticed the ‘55 years ago’. - Not that this extremely important all. This is an extremely low traffic webpage.
Edit; I see now that this post did show up but not at the place I expected. It shows up on the right side . Previous the most recent one was placed on the left side. My most recent post is also 55 years old. Maybe is that the reason of the location.
Edit 2 ; now it looks good. All good. Also the age of the posts
