Failed to load PDF file

Hello. We use the PDF Flipbook widget and after installation on our website we received such problems:

  1. a few days ago, the files were not opened with a shadow stripe in the middle (I attach a screenshot: https://www.imghippo.com/i/TNN8154d.png)
  2. today they do not open at all, the inscription appears: “Failed to load PDF file” (I attach a screenshot:

Thanks for reporting the issue, it should be fixed by now.

Thank you for your quick response.
But so far, on some devices (both PC and mobile), the shadow looks like a stripe. Is there anything you can do about it?

On which device and OS you’re seeing it?

mobile - ios (safari)
and pc - mac (safari)

Got it, thanks @varvikas.

Hello, we also thought today - could this problem be related to the features of the file itself? Maybe we need to fix something in it?

That does look like an issue with the PDF itself as it’s not happening with other PDF files.

Can you give recommendations on how we can change the pdf file to improve it? What exactly is wrong with it?

To ensure your PDFs display perfectly in Common Ninja’s PDF widget, follow these best practices:

  1. Use Standard Fonts: Embed common fonts (e.g., Arial, Times New Roman) to avoid rendering issues.
  2. Optimize File Size: Compress images and limit file size for faster loading.
  3. Follow PDF Standards: Stick to PDF/A or PDF 1.7 for better compatibility.
  4. Keep Text Selectable: Use real text instead of images for improved accessibility and search.
  5. Test Your PDFs: Preview them in Common Ninja’s widget to identify and fix any rendering issues.

A well-prepared PDF ensures a smooth user experience with seamless performance!
