Trying to add a Form Widget within Real Estate Widget

Hey, so i want to be able to add a form widget to the real estate widget and it technically works but is broken somehow because it should be there but is not visable.

My clients have a process where people apply to rent their apartments - ideally i would be able to tie the viewed or current listing to the form so they can apply for a specific listing. But just to be able to embed a form or apply now button which opens up a form would be awesome.

Also it would be really great if the listings had a. unuiqe page url so you could share links to that specific listing. Thanks for all the great work.

Hey @paradisianway a unique page URL is already available.

As for embedding a form - that’s also an option. You need to add a new field, and select “Widget” as its type. Then you can connect it to a form you create at commoninja.com.

ok, how do i find unique page url’s? Also, i know all that. But when i add it in my widget, nothing happens. I have created a form, added it as new field and placed it within the widget - but it doesnt work.

Set the application form field as a global value (shared across all listings), and disable the “Show in Listing Item” setting.

Then, go to the Full Page settings, and add this field to the main section.

that worked, thank you. now, how do i find unique page url’s for the listings??

Once you embed the widget, click on one of the listings, then copy its URL.

it doesnt work like that. It opens up within the same url and window as it is embedded. So there’s no url to copy?

Can you provide a link to the page on your site where you installed the widget?

Here’s a link to a url where i have it available for viewing. Are you saying it is possible to do it in another way than the one i’ve done?`

It happens because the unique ID hasn’t been set. We’re pushing a fix that will allow you to set that in the data integration you connected to fix the issue.

Are you saying i could achieve that by taking a different approach?

No, your approach was ok, we’ve just added a missing capability
