Bluesky widget appearance and functionality questions/issues

Hi all! I just started using the Bluesky widget on my website and itā€™s exactly what I needed and pretty easy to navigate.

I have a topic-specific Bluesky feed and I repost a lot - in fact, itā€™s almost ALL reposts, some with my own commentary and some without Iā€™m running into some things Iā€™m hoping someone can help me with. I currently have ā€œessentialsā€ since I only need this one widget (and also, grad student). Itā€™s embedded on a Wordpress site.

  1. I have noticed that if I simply repost without adding any new commentary of my own, that repost does not show up in my feed/widget. Can this be fixed? Or did I miss a setting?

  2. If I repost something and add some commentary, ONLY my own commentary shows up on my widget/feed, along with the image from the original post. To get around this for the moment Iā€™ve instituted the ā€œread more.ā€ The problem is that with Blueskyā€™s character limit I canā€™t always quote the OP and add my own commentary. Iā€™m wondering if itā€™s possible to carry over the original posterā€™s text as well as my own here?

  1. Sometimes reposts ONLY show my commentary and donā€™t carry over the image from the original post at all. Any idea why that might happen? Thereā€™s one post in my feed ā€œAAUP for the winā€ that shows this. I actually deleted that post from Bluesky altogether yesterday to try and get rid of it, BUTā€¦

  2. Deleted posts still show up in my widget/feed and refuse to go away lolā€¦ So if you click the ā€œread moreā€ link on the ā€œAAUP for the winā€ post from my widget, it will take you to Bluesky where you will read ā€˜post not foundā€™.

Thoughts?
